Shari's Story
Life
10/2006 Our daughter has finally decided to try life on her own, outside of our home. We have the house and ranch to ourselves. The quiet after raising 5 children, 1 of mine and 4 of my husband, Mark's, is deafening at times -- BUT GOD I LOVE IT!
12/2007 We are down to three horses, three dogs and one cat. Now that youngest daughter, Aubrey, has moved into a condo with her boyfriend, and a guy she works with, (think: "Three's Company" in reverse...), she came and picked up her cat. (HOORAY!)
11/2007 Mom had surgery to remove as much of her cancerous tissue as possible. There is still "a bit" of cancer in the linning of her abdominal wall. Unfortunately, she has started chemo again. This round is REALLY hard on her. PLEASE keep your prayers/positive thoughts and vibes going! The docs are optimistic as "She responded so well the first time..."
10/2007 Mom and her husband want to try life without my help now, so I went back to work. I am now at a well know hospital in Orange, CA. It is a GREAT place to work and is very rewarding.

back in Texas after selling their gorgeous home in beautiful Alaska. Both Tommy and Amanda are RNs and are very busy at work at the hospital -- and, with a new home a two young children, they have their hands full.
Little brother Mark Duvall and wife Amanda and their children, Camille and Patrick live in Pahrump Nevada. Mark works for Nye County and Alena works for the school district. They are doing well also.
Those of you that leave your name, please leave me a message or contact info too. I'd love to catch up and see/hear/read what everyone's been up to. I read email maybe once a week. I'd love to hear from you.
5/2007 SAD NEWS! Our mother was diagnosed with very advanced Ovarian cancer in early Feb. this year. Older brother, Tommy Duvall, came down from Alaska, his wife, Amanda and their 2 small children moved back to Texas to live with Amanda's parents for now. Tommy thought Mom was going to go fast. However, after three rounds of chemo, she is hanging in there. The oncologist says the chemo "seems to be working." Tommy, I am told, will be heading to Texas to join his family soon. Those of you that know us and/or remember us, please say a prayer for our mom.
